Our Story
Ryan and Jaime first met in December of 2018. Jaime was finishing up her senior year at Elon University, and while home for winter break, she met Ryan, who had just moved to Jaime's hometown - Mechanicsburg, PA - earlier that year.
They went on only a few dates before Jaime had to return to North Carolina for school, but neither had any doubts that despite living 400 miles apart, this would not be the last time they saw each other.
With many (many) hours spent on I-81 driving back and forth from PA to NC, Ryan and Jaime made the most of their long distance relationship - turning weekend visits into mini-getaways to places like Charleston, Jacksonville, and Smith Mountain Lake.
In 2020, what Jaime thought would be a temporary trip home to Mechanicsburg, turned into a permanent move when the pandemic hit. Ryan and Jaime moved into their first apartment in Mount Joy later that year. In the following summer, they bought their first home in Mechanicsburg.
Over Labor Day weekend in 2022, Jaime and Ryan crossed a trip off their bucket list with their visit to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park. After Jaime dragged Ryan up several miles to the summit of Upper Yosemite Falls, Ryan got down on one knee and Jaime said the easiest 'yes' of her life... while excitedly hugging him to the point of nearly pulling them both off the mountain (see Gallery tab for photo evidence).
